Our story
"We started The Healing Press because we believed the world needed more books that meet people exactly where they are — in their pain, their searching, their becoming."
Founded in 2018, The Healing Press grew out of a simple but powerful conviction: that literature has the capacity to heal. Our founder, Serena Holloway, spent a decade as a therapist before realizing that the books she recommended to clients were often doing as much work as the sessions themselves.
She set out to build a publishing house that would be a true home for transformative writing — a place where authors working in self-discovery, mindfulness, somatic healing, ancestral work, and personal growth could find a publisher who truly understood their mission.
Today, The Healing Press is home to over 50 titles and more than 120 authors across 40 countries. Every book we publish carries our promise: that it was chosen because we believe it has the power to change a life.
What we stand for
We approach every manuscript and every author with deep care, empathy, and respect for the vulnerability it takes to share your story.
We champion diverse, authentic perspectives — especially those that have been historically underrepresented in the wellness and self-help space.
Our editorial team works closely with authors to ensure every book reaches its fullest potential without losing the author's unique voice.
We measure success not just in sales, but in the lives our books touch — the readers who write to tell us a title changed everything.
